The Northern Co-operative Meat Company based in Casino has a new name and structure. The Casino Food Company has officially been registered as an unlisted public company from May 12.

For a few years, the NCMC was called the Casino Food Co-op. This has changed with the structure transitioning from a co-op to a public company.

Chief executive Simon Stahl said their focus remains on strengthening their position as a leading red meat processing facility.

New branding will be rolled out in coming weeks with an updated logo to reflect the change including new uniforms, email addresses, signage and website.

The new domain, casinofoodco.com.au will be adopted across the business including Casino Hide Tanners and Booyong Pork.

Northern Rivers Meats will continue to operate under its existing domain nrmeats.com.au for business and livestock communications.

The rollout also includes approvals and updates to the export registration in coming weeks.

Long serving chairman of the Board John Seccombe has stepped down.

“The transformation we’ve achieved as a team—particularly the shift to an unlisted public company— positions us strongly for the future,” Mr Seccombe said.

Damien Dougherty has stepped down from his role as deputy chairman.

Both will remain active contributors to the business as directors on the board alongside Neil Short.

Frank Hannigan has been appointed chairman of Casino Food Company.

“While it remains business as usual operationally, this new status positions the company to better respond to the market, embrace new opportunities, and ensure long-term sustainability,” he said.

Mr Hannigan has been an adviser to the board for the past 12 months. Lennard Blok has been appointed deputy chairman.
