Some of the toughest riders in the country took on the ‘Kosi Killer’ leg of the Australian Hard Enduro Championships at Towong Upper on the weekend.
With 224 competitors battling through punishing terrain and brutal conditions, it was an unforgettable event that showcased the grit and talent of Australia’s best.
Local rising star, Maison ‘Moose’ Bloom, delivered an incredible performance, claiming 2nd place overall in the junior category – a huge achievement, especially as he was one of the youngest in the field.
Moose kicked off the weekend with a strong 2nd-placed finish in the prologue, earning a great starting position for the main race. Saturday’s course was hot, dusty, and relentless—true to the ‘Hard Enduro’ name.
After nearly three hours of racing, Moose powered through to finish 3rd in the main race, placing him 2nd overall on the podium.
He wasn’t the only local flying the flag though. Mac Brindley also put in a great ride in the junior class. In the Bronze category, Layne Klippel and Riley Bloom showed strong form, while Reece and Jayden Findlay along with Reece Klippel, took on the Silver class – with all local riders impressively starting inside the top 10 in their respective divisions!
It was a weekend to remember, celebrating not only elite competition but also the incredible local talent making a mark in the sport.
The event organisers have thanked property owners Tom, Sally and Charlie Lebner, whose hard work and generosity made the event possible. Without their support, none of this could have happened.
The organisers themselves – Greg, Denise, and Ryan Peterson along with their huge team of helpers – did a great job making this incredible event come to life.
