Increases in attendance and number of exhibitors were among the highlights from a successful 104th edition of the Loxton Show.
More than 8000 people walked through the gates to experience the two-day event held over the long weekend, food and market stalls and a range of competition entries on display.
Loxton Show president Ian Cass said “perfect weather with record crowds, for the second consecutive year, illustrated the event’s success.”
“The new online entry system was fantastic and it helped to relieve pressure on the staff,” Mr Cass said.
“Plus, we received more online entries than we expected with massive family numbers coming in.
“We couldn’t be happier, especially with current droughts and frost conditions. An event like this helps everyone especially, farmers.
“It’s the Riverland show for me, it’s the best way to describe it, since we have people from all over the state.”
Show results will be published in next week’s edition of The Murray Pioneer.
