Coobowie quick bowler James Reuther is heading to India with a state high performance team.
Reuther and the other 12 team members are programmed to play six matches over two weeks later this month. The tour is part of the high performance South Australian Cricket Association Redbacks Pathways program.
“I am super excited for the opportunity to play in another country for the first time,” Reuther said.
“It will be a great experience and learning curve.
“The squad leaves on July 14 and the schedule includes three one day games, a couple of two day matches and a three day game.”
Having represented his state at SAPSASA (Under 13), U17 and U19 level, Reuther made his SACA men’s first grade debut for West Torrens Eagles at the end of 2020, at age 17.
He and the Eagles had an outstanding 2023 24 campaign, winning the SACA men’s first grade Twenty20 and One Day titles, and they made it as far as the semifinals in the two day competition.
