French finals success for Arandt and Barnes

Recent stories

Ben Arandt and Will Barnes, with Australian team mate Kurtis Fisher, have won the Coupe de France national division grand-final.

The trio play for the Les Loups Paimers-Vernajoul X11 Wolves and have enjoyed a successful season, with Barnes and Fisher backing up their Leeton Greens Group 20 premiership, with this latest win.

The Wolves defeated Salses X111 42 points to 22, and both Barnes and Arandt – talented cousins from rugby league families and Hay Magpies juniors – scored a try apiece.

Proud parents Manday and Sam Barnes and Leesa Arandt will head off to France next week, to cheer on the boys in their second final – the club contests two different competitions.
