Message to all entrants, locals and visitors who have ventured to Narrandera this year for the 39th Narrandera Rod Run

Steve Alldrick, Narrandera Rod Run Organiser, Narrandera Argus

We are excited to be back for another wonderful Easter, with a good number of entrants and we expect similar numbers around the Narrandera Sportsground Oval as there were for last year’s Easter Sunday Show ‘n Shine which had 500 cars in attendance.

This is wonderful for the town of Narrandera with so many visitors and we have encouraged all our entrants to shop locally and support the town as much as they can.

Many businesses have sponsored the run to help keep the entry cost down and help attract entrants and visitors to Easter in Narrandera. Without these sponsors we just could not return year after year, so we would like to say a huge thank you for getting behind this event and supporting us to put it on.

A great addition this year was the website for locals and visitors without a car to preorder merchandise to help the event by grabbing their own souvenir hoodie, t shirt, tin sign or ladies and kid’s shirts. This also help generate a little more funds to help keep the event coming back each year.

The usual Show and Shine will take place on Easter Sunday again at the Narrandera Sportsground like last year and we have a huge market and amusements organised from 11am till 3pm on Easter Sunday.

On Saturday we have Troy and Cinta at Lake Talbot Swimming Complex opening the pool for waterslides, disco and lunch. There will also be a roller derby at the Narrandera Tennis Club.

Visitors are able to enjoy a ladies’ morning at Sew Fab on Easter Saturda, with project making, craft and nibbles. We would like to thank Leanne and her team for allowing this to happen.

We have a cruise this year taking our entrants around the town and on roads they have never been on before.

You will see a lot of cars around town enjoying cruising up and down the street and this always creates such a wonderful atmosphere.

I would like to finish off by firstly thanking all the entrants for once again supporting this Rod Run because without them we would not have an event.

To the wonderful sponsors who continue to support the event, without you we wouldn’t financially be able to keep going. And a big thank you to everyone at the Narrandera Shire Council who always support and help us strive to make this event bigger and better each year. We really appreciate the way you get behind us and assist with whatever we need.

The last thank you is to the Narrandera Rod Run committee and helpers – it’s a big job and without your commitment it just wouldn’t get done.

Let’s enjoy being able to cruise our cars and catch up with friends! See you all in 2025.
