The Bonalbo Show is fast approaching. This year the show will be held Friday 12 and Saturday 13 April at the Bonalbo Showgrounds. The Show Schedule is available online at the Bonalbo Show website – www.bonalboshow.com.au and copies are also at several locations in Bonalbo and around the district.
Friday 12 April will be the Pavilion judging and Working Dog Trials. Please check the Schedule for details regarding delivery and closing date for Pavilion entries (available in the Full Schedule or Pavilion Schedule).
On Saturday 13 April events get underway from 8.00am with a 3 ring Horse Show, ( available in the Full Schedule or Horse Schedule) and other competitions will start at varying times from 9.00am including the Poultry, Prime Cattle, Led Cattle, Bonalbo Show Jumps, Bush pony events, and the Miniature Goat Competition.
Prime Cattle, Bonalbo Show Jumps and Bush Pony events can be entered on the day of the Show, others must complete and lodge entries prior to the Show. Entry details are available in the Show Schedule.
The committee has organised a range of free entertainment at the Show on Saturday with several Magic Show performances during the day, a limited number of free balloon sculptures, and free facepainting and for the younger set.
There will also be Tea Cup rides and bouncing fun! You can also try your luck at the Laughing Clowns, and browse the different trade stalls and displays.
Following the Official Opening of the Show we will have the entertaining and extremely competitive Young Farmers Challenge, and then there will be musical entertainment at the Bar until the show closes at 6pm.
Hotshots Coffee Van will be on-site for coffee both days of the Show, and the BBQ will be open early for an egg and bacon roll, with expanded offerings for lunch.
If you’re after something sweet, there is always a delicious selection of cakes and slices, or treat yourself to an ice cream from the ice cream van or some lollies or an ice-cold slushie.
Patrons are welcome to relax in the quiet atmosphere of the Luncheon Pavilion with the choice of a morning tea platter or a cold lunch, all at reasonable prices and served with local hospitality.
Grab a drink at the Bar after lunch on Saturday and settle in to watch and enjoy the afternoon entertainment.
Entry on show day is $10 for adults, $5 for Seniors Card holders, $3 for children 12 – 18, and children under 12 at no charge.
Show Society Membership is available, and if you would like to become a Member of the Show Society, annual membership is only $5.
This provides entry for the Member and student children* entry to the show on both days, including car parking on the showgrounds.
