EV”ˆchargers for regional Victoria

Recent stories

As a part of the ongoing “Charging the Regions” project, Donald has seen the completion of its very own electric car charging station, located at 68A Woods Street.

With longer distances no longer a problem for electric vehicles, said vehicle owners are now venturing out of suburbia more and more to explore the regional areas of the land.

Wycheproof and Sea Lake’s own electric chargers have seen steadily increased use, which is brilliant for rural communities and their businesses. Vehicles stopping to use chargers allows passengers time to explore local shops and surrounds, bolstering the towns’ visitor numbers – and with Donald’s charger located right behind the mall, the cafes and shops are only a hop, skip, and a jump away!

“Charging the Regions is an exciting project that will provide a dense network of public EV charging infrastructure across large parts of regional Victoria. It will ensure that the regions do not get left behind as more and more electric cars hit the road. It will help boost jobs, stimulate EV tourism and encourage people who live in regional Victoria to think about ‘going electric’ on their next vehicle purchase. A great example of a positive stimulus project delivered in partnership between the Victorian Government and local councils,” said Rob Law, Executive Officer, Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance.
