Show day online entries

This year online entries will again be taken before show day for both Pavilion and Horse Entries. In the show schedule there are written instructions on how to use this system but if you need help please make contact with our Secretary Kristy and she can help get your entries done. Online Entries open on the 1st October

Come n Chat about Carbon

Tooraweenah PA&H Association committee have endorsed a new idea to provide an opportunity to learn from experts about Hot topics. This year we have decided on the Topic of Carbon. The Chat will explore what the issue is all about, how it might impact Agriculture in our community and finally define it from other Environmental markets such as Biodiversity Offsets.

The whole community is welcome to come in and learn on show morning at the Tooraweenah Hall 10.30am -12pm, just go online and register at the following link https://www.123tix.com.au/events/40133/tooraweenah-show-2023. $40 Registration includes show entry and morning tea.

Key note speakers include:

  • Dr Warwick Badgery is a research leader with NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) who has over 15 years’ research experience on improving the profitability and sustainability of grazing systems and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions under a changing climate;
  • Don Macdonald of Macdonald & Co was elected to the AWI Board in November 2017. Don Macdonald has been involved in the wool industry since 1975 as a wool classer, shearer, wool broker and grower;
  • Matt Richardson Matt is a founding Director of Niche Environmental;
  • Amanda Griffith is Niche’s Manager for Natural Capital Supply.

So come along or spread the word to help make it fun.

Pavilion

Now is the time to start getting your Pavilion entries ready for Show Day … plenty of options to choose from including cooking, photography, handicrafts, needlework, fruit and veg, wool, art and photography – contact Kylie Moppett on 0447481036 for further information..

Horse Ring

Horse events are organised and lots of interest is already being seen with schedules being emailed out. Horse events will start at 9am and online entries are open on the 1st October. For Further information on the horse events please contact our Chief Horse Steward Robin Dowsett 0427961240

Yard Dogs

Yard Dogs are all set to be bigger and better in 2023 this should be an amazing day for people to come and watch working dogs do their thing and showing wonderful skills. If you have a dog there is even a local section so get some practice in and bring them to the show. For Further information please contact Brendon Butler 0447481048.

Tooraweenah Rodeo

Rodeo

Our Rodeo is set to take place from 2pm on Show day. Come to the show have some lunch check out the markets and then get to the arena to watch some amazing action of Bull riding and Barrell Racing. These men and women are amazing athletes be sure to be there to be able to see the action.

Show Attractions

This year we have some amazing things for young and old

Pooka the clown proudly sponsored by Beyond 21 real estate will be doing shows through out the day he does amazing magic and Balloon twisting for the kids so make sure you watch and get your free balloon animal.

We have Jumping castles from Mackie Entertainment and a Mechanical Bull from Inflatables R us.

The Market stalls will be running all day with something for everyone.

Lots of food will be on offer with P and C, CWA, Tooraweenah and Gular Lions all having food available. The Bar will run as always and a great place for a chat.

Make Sure you find Barry Chandler and have a guess at the weight of the fat sheep.
