Maldon’s Public Pool opened last Saturday, attracting a good number of people for a much-anticipated cool-off.
Squeals and shrieks broke the silence as the pool officially entered its summer season and swimmers said goodbye to the cold weather.
Luckily the day was perfect for swimming at a warm 30 degrees.
Over the afternoon, a steady flow of families arrived to enjoy a cool swim under the hot sun.
The pool is set up well for families with plenty of shady spaces to sit and relax, where you can bring a picnic, read a book, and enjoy the ambience of the lovely bush surroundings.
The pool is equipped with a BBQ, change rooms and a kiosk.
The main pool is 27.5m in length, and the smaller wading pool is 3.5m long for the littlies.
Opening hours are from 3pm to 6pm on weekdays and 1pm to 6pm at weekends.
Holiday hours will be the same as weekend hours.
Lap swimming is only from 6pm to 7pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and Aqua Aerobics is from 6pm to 7pm Tuesdays and Thursdays.
