Warral Maldon is a finalist in the agribusiness section.

Warral Maldon has an experienced team of dedicated staff in a purpose-built HQ and processing facility in Maldon.  Three thousand plus hives produce over 200 plus tonnes of honey and honeycomb, with 2,000 kg of beeswax produced each year. They have recently opened a gift store in the front room of their production plant in Maldon.  There are plans to expand this area to further tap into the local tourism market.

Since 1896, when the great-great grandfather of the current owner, Lindsay Callaway, fell in love with bees, this one family has spent more than 125 years perfecting the art of apiculture.

Using his experience and expertise, binoculars and camera drones, his sharp eyes and sense of smell, Lindsay knows where to look – and every year he searches the treetops for the best wildflower flows.

“The team at Warral Maldon are really proud of this nomination – it’s recognition of their hard work over many, many years,” said Lindsay.

Maldon Takeaway is a finalist in the retail & hospitality section.

Maldon Takeaway strive for excellence each day.  Adam and Melitta from Maldon Takeaway provide the local community with great food and friendly service.
