The artists who will transform Casino’s water tower have been decided.
The Brightsiders are working on a project in the far south-western Queensland town of Thargomindah and will be in Casino mid-July to start painting the tower.
Richmond Valley Council has tidied the grounds and tower in preparation. It has cleared the site, repaired the internal and external fencing, concreted the footpath around the reservoir and ramp and sorted cabling.
Once the mural is finished, the embankment will be stabilised as well as plantings of the perennial lomandra, commonly known as mat rushes.
The reservoir tower will be pressure cleaned before painting.
