Students from a remote Barkly school have been developing their swimming and water safety skills during a fun-filled visit to Tennant Creek.
Seventeen students from Canteen Creek School hit the pool for several days of aquatic instruction under the watchful eyes of Swimming NT Pathways Manager Thomas Noblett and Barkly Sports Education Coordinator Pam Dillon.

“The students took part in a range of different and exciting activities to help them improve their swimming strokes, water safety and teamwork,” Ms Dillon said.
“They enjoyed a session of water aerobics, games of water polo and inflatable boat relays – all while improving their freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke techniques. Students were treated to a movie night and visit to Lake Mary Ann-Tingkkarli where new playground equipment was recently unveiled.”
