Latest Arts and Culture Grants Program outcomes revealed

Outcomes of the October 2020 round of the Arts and Culture Grants Program have been announced.

Arts South Australia’s Arts and Culture Grants Program invests in artists and organisations to support a vibrant arts ecology.

Congratulations to fifty one successful applicants of the October 2020 round, with grants totalling over $1.4 million awarded.

Grant opportunities on offer in the October 2020 round included Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Grants, Projects, Development and Major Projects categories.

Lisa Furno received a grant of $10 200 in the Projects – Independent Artists and Groups category to support the making of a new collection of contemporary jewellery under the title Cause and Effect. The work will explore concepts of consumerism and the impact on young children of consumer culture and its legacy of waste.

Brink Productions received a grant of $100 000 through the Major Projects – Collaboration category. The grant will support Brink’s partnership with a range of South Australian independent artists to create new theatre works based on their individual stories. Collaborators include Zaachariaha Fielding, Emma Beech, Rory Walker, Jo Stone and Hew Parham.

Adrianne Semmens received a grant of $15 250 through the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Grants – Projects category for First Nations Choreographic Lab. Funding will support five South Australian First Nations dance practitioners to develop their choreographic practice and collaborative work.
