A very happy week for the club this week, firstly winning the Laird Madden Rosebowl, the bowlers haven't stopped smiling all week ... Di Maddern, I Austin, W Kidman, and D Austin, got a good start and led all day, at the break were 18-9 up.

Nhill Cemetery Flag Committee

The Nhill RSL Sub Branch has, in partnership with Lowan Lodge 107, Rotary Club of Nhill Inc. and Nhill Lions Club, established a subcommittee aimed at honouring all service men and women in our Nhill cemetery. Our sub-committee will honour our local heroes by flying flags behind their graves on ANZAC and Remembrance days - we are hoping to start in 2024.

Sports Shear Australia Nationals 2023 was held on the 21st and 22nd October at Jamestown SA ... The woolhandling board saw Kirsty Bone 2nd in the open and Sigourney Williams 2nd in the novice.

Beautiful day for the garden walk

After the wintery "wash-out" of the 2022 Garden Walk, the Nhill Lions Club members were ever hopeful for a fine sunny day this year for their Annual Garden Walk. Their wishes were certainly granted as the sunshine and magnificent blue skies greeted everyone from early morning, last Sunday, right throughout the day.

Winner winner, it’s Wimmera lentils for dinner!

A delectable lentil lasagne, cooked by Nhill local, Wendy Bywaters was declared the winning dish by celebrity chef, Tim Bone, at West Wimmera Health Service’s Cooking Competition recently ... the region’s quality produce and ingredients were put right in the spotlight.

Kaniva Presbyterian Church restored

Kaniva Presbyterian Church was blessed to have a visit from Mobile Ministry Maintenance group. This group is made up of retired Christians with many qualifications to do volunteer renovations on Church properties, campsites etc.
