If you’re still on the hunt for an Ag Day plan for tomorrow, fear not!

We’ve picked some of the juiciest public Ag Day events for your perusal below.

From seedling giveaways, to farm tours, nation-wide meditations, to entire towns painting themselves green, there is something for everyone this Friday!

Here are some of the events that caught our eye.

NSW

Conversation, wild ideas, great food and new connections

  • Location: University New England SMART Region IncubatorWright Centre, UNE Armidale
  • Event details: This year’s theme, Stand with the Land, will bring together farmers, researchers, and business leaders to explore how agriculture responds to a shifting global landscape. From climate change and conflict to supply chain pressures and food security, the day will feature thought-provoking conversations and a panel of industry leaders, from academics to international food companies. Open morning at historic Godolphin’s Woodlands Stud

  • Location: 3933 Golden Highway, Denman
  • Contact: 02 6547 3000
  • Event details: Visit the historic and picturesque Woodlands Thoroughbred Stud and cattle farm settled along the Hunter River. Meet the foals and their mums, retired racehorses, special trophies and have a cuppa and breakfast roll with our team that care for the horses 24/7. The 6,000 acre property incorporates a significant cattle herd, pasture improvement, and hay production.

Qld

AgForce seedling giveaway in Brisbane CBD 

  • Date: Thursday, 20 November
  • Location: Cathedral Square, 410 Ann Street, Brisbane
  • Event details: Each year the team from AgForce gives away seedlings in celebration of National Ag Day. Join us to grab your free seedling and other goodies. 

QFF Ag Day Breakfast 

  • Location: Royal International Convention Centre, 600 Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills.
  • Event details: QFF and our peak body members invite you to join us at our annual National Ag Day breakfast and hear from special guest speaker, the Premier of Queensland, Hon David Crisafulli, who will reflect on his first 12 months in office and his vision for the future of agriculture in Queensland.

Babinda’s Paint the Town Green

  • Organisation: Advancing Babinda and Babinda District Community Association Inc.
  • Event details: We aim to engage traders in the main street of Babinda, local schools, local ag groups in a community-wide event by dressing up their shops, collecting donations, school kids and traders wearing green.

Vic

VFF Ag Day Farm Shop

  • Location: Farrer House, 24 Collins Street, Melbourne
  • Event details: The Victorian Farmers Federation will be celebrating Ag Day with tastings from some of Victoria’s best producers. You can help support farmers facing drought by contributing to the VFF’s Disaster Relief Fund. More details here.  

Tas

Young Horties – National Ag Day Devonport, TAS

  • Quoiba Room, paranaple Centre, 137 Rooke St, Devonport, TAS, 7310
  • Event details: Celebrate National Ag Day with the Young Horties in Tasmania for our Fields of the Future event, a networking event with panel discussion from industry experts leading the charge in the fields. Hear from industry leaders who are on the ground with first hand experience driving these future systems.

SA

Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market

  • Location: Wayville   
  • Event details: Sunday morning from 8:30am to 12:30pm. The Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market will become a bustling community hub for the people of Adelaide and its visitors. Stallholders will travel from across South Australia to sell direct, creating an authentic farm-to-market experience that showcases the quality and diversity of South Australian food. With live music and the friendly buzz of conversation, the market is more than shopping, it’s a celebration of farmers, food, and community.

Northern Territory Farmers Association BBQ lunch

  • Location: Nutrien Ag Solutions Humpty Doo Branch. 1 Arnhem Highway, Humpty Doo
  • Event details: Join us on Friday 21 November for a BBQ lunch celebrating National Agriculture Day and the Northern Territory’s agriculture industry. The event will feature a free BBQ lunch, grower stories, and a lucky door prize. Everyone is welcome including industry participants, supporters, and community members interested in learning more about local food and fibre production. Supported by NT Farmers, Nutrien Ag Solutions, Rabobank, Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association, and the Northern Hub. More details here.

Wongan Engineering AgDayAU Lunch
