They love being Australians – and they loved being at Donald’s Foletti Caravan Park for a five-day break, despite the early Spring weather.

Pictured are members of the “Humpy Club”, whose caravans, “Aussie by Design”, are the product of “Humpback Caravans”, of Wallaroo, South Australia.

The club was formed in Alford, South Australia, about ten years ago, and travels interstate to selected destinations for social gatherings every year.

Club member, Peter Hatcher, told the [Buloke] “Times” at the weekend that all travel arrangements are made annually within the group.

“Dockets are kept from our purchases, and relevant councils are informed of how much we have spent in their area,” he said.

“We also have a ‘swear jar’, with proceeds going to a worthy cause such as the Flying Doctor Service – or, in this case, to the Donald Football Club, which manages the caravan park.”

As for the “Aussies by Design” caravans, Peter said they vary in length from 14 to 40 feet – from single to triple axles.
