Liverpool City Highway Patrol officers deployed to Murrumbidgee Police District detected a Holden Rodeo exceeding the posted speed limit at Narrandera.

When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver ignored police direction, initiating a pursuit.

The Rodeo continued at high speed through multiple residential streets in Leeton before officers successfully deployed a Tyre Deflation Device.

The driver continued through several farming properties but failed to negotiate a turn through citrus orchards due to the deflated tyres, ending the pursuit when the Rodeo became partially submerged in an agricultural canal.

The driver, a 40-year-old male who is disqualified from driving until 2078, was arrested and conveyed to Leeton Police Station where he was charged with multiple offences before being refused bail.
