Year 7 scientists at Donald High School spent Term 1 learning about “Safety in Science”.
Late in Term 1 they gained their Bunsen Burner Licences after a competency test.
Well, it was about time that the Year 7 scientists conducted an experiment using the Bunsen Burner. Students investigated “Which Flame is Hotter?” And of course, it’s the “blue” flame!
Well done to all students on remembering all the safety rules and the correct way to light a Bunsen Burner and use it to heat a substance.
