The race that stops the Highlands! Friday 22nd November at the Bong Bong Picnic Race Club, Bowral. Book your boot picnic space or your race day pass and have a wonderful day out with friends and the Southern Highlands community.

Fashions on the Field for this year!

It’s shaping up to be a great day for Fashionista’s and racing enthusiasts at the Bong Bong Picnic Races this year with an incredible line up of prizes for race day.
There will be a huge prize pool, with the Women’s Fashions in the Field Prize pool valued at over $4,000 and Men’s Prize pool over $2,500.
To enter on race day come to the main pavilion to sign up for Fashions on the Field.
The Main Parade is at 12 noon with the first race at 1pm, Fashions on the Field will at 1:50pm on the main stage.

Music

Local Legend Angus Murray will once again see the Public Tent be the place to be at Bong Bong with live music programme.

Timetable

10.00am: Access to the Racecourse
12 Noon: Official welcome and opening parade
1.15pm: Six race programme: First race at approximately 1.15 pm
2.00pm: Fashions on the Field
5.00pm: Last Race: Approximately 5.00pm
6.00pm: Racecourse Closes

On the day

Official race book guides will be available for sale on the day – $5.00 each
Please note whilst there is an ATM onsite, we still recommend you bring along some cash

Entry: Strictly NO BYO alcohol permitted
Bring your own picnic but no glass bottles or glasses permitted

Lots of food options on site including: Rotary Club and Southern Highlands Rugby League Club barbecues, there will be Pizzetaro, Hot Canary Nacho & Slider Bar, Magnificup Coffee (Roadside) and MCH Coffee Van (Hillside).

Transport to and from the Course

  • Departing from Sutton Forest Hotel, Moss Vale Clocktower, Mittagong Railway Station and Bowral Railway Station. Check Bong Bong website for pick up and drop off times.
  • Cost: There will be no charge on the forward trip but there will be a charge on the return trip ($10.00 per person). Tickets MUST be purchased prior to boarding at the bus pick-up point at the racecourse.
  • Return trips are non-stop direct to where you originally boarded. (See schedule)
