Campaspe Shire Council, Media Release, 29 March 2023

Local residents are encouraged to come along to Echuca Library this Saturday for the annual Echuca Moama Discovery Day.

The event will showcase over 50 groups from Echuca Moama and surrounds, ranging from local service and sporting clubs, to singing, art, craft, history groups and many other community organisations.

Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Rob Amos said the Echuca Moama Discovery Day was a great opportunity for residents to find out more about participating in local organisations or special interest groups.

“Echuca Moama offers an abundance of opportunities for our residents to become involved, whether they are interested in volunteering opportunities or have a hobby or special interest they would like to enjoy with likeminded people.

“There will be plenty of organisations looking for additional volunteers to join them, so this will be the perfect opportunity to find a group to connect with if you have been considering how you can be more involved in your local community.

“Last year, the Discovery Day was a great success with over 1,400 attendees. Whether you’re new to town or a long term resident, I would encourage everyone to come along and find out more about how they can connect with their local community.”

The event will be held from this Saturday, 1 April, outside the Echuca Library from 310 Hare Street, from 10am – 1pm.
