Locals ride for a cancer cure

Recent stories

Two cycling enthusiasts are saddling up for a four-day trek in the Victorian high country to raise funds for cancer research.

You are likely to have seen Towong Shire Councillor, Peter Dikschei, along with Corryong Health CEO, Dom Sandilands, training on local roads in preparation for the High Country Charity Ride from Thursday February 23rd until Sunday February 26th over Mount Hotham and through North East townships – a distance of 550 kilometres.

They are both passionate about helping to raise funds for vital cancer projects through the Tour de Cure cycling initiative. Specifically, funds this year will be directed to supporting the Albury Wodonga Cancer Centre.

The pair would love to receive support in helping them raise as much money as possible.

Through inspirational cycling tours and events across Australia, Tour de Cure funds the boldest research, the most talented scientists and the pioneering projects that it believes have the greatest potential impact to find a cure for cancer.
