Come and enjoy a family fun day at the 133rd Wynyard Show, the district’s authentic country Show. Marvel at the magnificent livestock, horses, poultry and cage birds on display. See popular woodchopping events and watch carriage driving on the main oval. Youngsters will enjoy Side Show Alley attractions, live music and food to taste. Our Industrial Hall displays local produce and crafts, entered by young and old alike.

The Wynyard Show is one of Tasmania’s centenary shows with the first official Show held at Wynyard on 13th May 1885. Until recently, the Wynyard Agricultural and Pastoral Society staged an annual event except for 1942, 1943 and 1944.
Despite best efforts by Society members and volunteers, the COVID pandemic forced cancellation of the 2021 and 2022 shows. The next Wynyard Show on Saturday 18th March 2023 will be our 133rd Show.
The Society welcomes new members and holds general meetings at the Showground on the second Monday evening of most months.
The Society holds the Crown Lease on the 2.9-hectare Showground at 59a Jackson Street in Wynyard. The Lease expires in 2058. The Showground is home for eight other community organisations as well as the venue for the annual Wynyard Show.
