The Westbury Show, Tasmania’s third oldest agricultural show, will be on again at Westbury Showgrounds on Saturday 5 November 2022.
Show favourites like the Hagley Rural Youth Dog Jump, horse, kennel and cattle competitions, dog trials, the ever popular pet parade and home industries displays will be back, along with popular kids activities in the free Kids’ Corner area. New attractions this year which are sure to draw a crowd will be wood chopping, laser tag and models of mountain huts painstakingly handmade by Jamie Baldock.
This year the Home Industries sub committee has a number of competitionsbased on the theme of reuse and recycle. Community groups are encouraged to enter a scarecrow competition and primary school students can get creative by creating a human figure. Both competitions need to use recycled materials in their final creations. Entry forms and competition details can be found here.
Westbury Show’s renowned horse competitions have seen a record number of entries received for the two days of Show Jumping to be held at the Westbury Show on the 4th and 5th of November.
Tickets can be purchased at the gates. Gate fees are adults $10, families $25, children (6-16) $5, children under 6 are free.
