The pong serves up justice

Corryong’s annual Ping-Pong-A-Thon event last weekend returned to a 24-hour marathon format, with more than 30 men playing table tennis and being sponsored by generous donors. That country spirit saw a total of $7026 raised to support the fight against human trafficking.

Bill will kickstart housing supply

The Unlocking Regional Housing Bill specifically addresses the housing crisis in regional, rural and remote Australia, by making funding easier to access and requiring the Minister to look at action so that at least 30 per cent of funding to go to regional, rural and remote Australia.

Firewood collection areas open

Victorians are now able to collect free firewood for personal use from state forest firewood collection areas until Thursday 30 November, 2023. Forest Fire Management Victoria, Acting Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Jarrod Hayse, said firewood collection is only allowed in designated firewood collection areas during a firewood season.
