A Danza del Arte production in association with Arts on Tour Water Mirror

On Wednesday 3 June the Pilbeam Theatre is thrilled to present Water Mirror, an extraordinary fusion of Taiko percussion, dance, acrobatics, and cutting-edge projection and lighting design as part of its See it Live 2026 season.

Created by Paulina Quinteros, this exhilarating production invites audiences of all ages to embark on a captivating journey that transcends traditional performance.

The powerful rhythms of Taiko, led by a group of extraordinary percussionists, resonate throughout the venue, mesmerising audiences with Danza del Arte’s athletic acrobatic dancers. The electrifying interplay between musicians and performers is both sublime and finely crafted.

Set against a stunning multimedia backdrop, Water Mirror creates an immersive experience that engages the senses. With acclaimed reviews, award nominations, and standing ovations, this show is a standout choice for anyone seeking a remarkable and unforgettable performance.

Since its premiere, Water Mirror has been presented at prestigious venues such as The Seymour Centre’s Everest Theatre, Parramatta Riverside Theatres, Blue Mountains Theatre, Sydney Dance Company’s Nielsen Venue, and Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre.

Choreographer and Artistic Director of Danza del Arte, Paulina Quinteros, said she used the slow-paced Covid period to develop and refine her ideas for Water Mirror.

Water Mirror emerged from my passion for multidisciplinary collaboration,” Quinteros said.

“I find inspiration when working with other artistic minds. My interest in integrating various art forms—design, music, and dance—led to its creation. The collaborative process not only fosters fulfillment but also generates innovative ideas, resulting in a compelling production. This synergy of creativity is what truly brings the work to life.”
