Allora welcomes a new business to town

Recent stories

The Little Flower Shop is the latest addition to our distinctive and interesting main street.

Owners Jacinta and James Lax have moved into a totally renovated studio which previously housed Piston Pumps.

Locals may recognise the couple as they live at Goomburra and their four children attend St Patrick’s Allora School. Their studio at Goomburra outgrew their needs so were delighted when the Herbert Street premises became available to rent.

The Little Flower Shop is packed with beautiful blooms and unique gifts – the perfume will draw you in. Floral bouquets are made on the premises by Jacinta and her talented offsider Bec Thorrisi.

Another part of the business is Lace and Barrel were weddings and special occasions are designed. Their reputation says it all as they’re booked every weekend, except for one, from now until May. It’s no wonder as Lace and Barrel offers an extra special service. As well as handling all the floral arrangements they also hire furniture and décor from their studio in Allora.

On Monday and Tuesday The Little Flower Shop will take phone or on-line orders. Then on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the Shop in Allora will open from 9am – 2pm and Saturday from 9am – 12noon at 56 Herbert Street, right next door to Grant & Co Realty.
