Bullrider Zane Hall, from Athol, is currently leading the 2026 PBR Australia Monster Energy Tour going into the next buckfest at Beaudesert.
This follows an apparently flawless performance at the Scone 2026 PBR Australia Monster Energy Tour Buckfest to kick off this year’s PBR season.
Zane held onto his bull, steady on the writhing beast before coming off safely.
Behind him is Mount Isa’s Donnie Rutherfurd, then last year’s National Champion and gold buckle winner, gunning for back-to-back titles, Kurt Shephard (Mareeba, QLD).
New Zealand rider Fraser Babbington sits at fourth position, and Victorian Kelsey Pavlou is at fifth, both upsetting the Queensland roll, however with powerhouse Macaulie Leather from Calliope in Queensland in 6th anything could happen in Beaudesert.
There is $20,000 up for grabs in Beaudesert, at the next invitational on 27th and 28th of February, and of course, points for leaderboard standings.
This comes after the Tasman Cup, held in Fielding, on the North Island of New Zealand.
Zane finished in the top six in that competition, Team Australia took the overall win, recording 15 rides to Team New Zealand’s 12 rides over five rounds.
Zane finished all three of his rides in that competition.
Thirty-eight cowboys battled it out over two rounds of competition for $20,000 in prize money at the 2026 Monster Energy Scone Invitational.
All riders faced a bull in Round 1, with the top eight in the aggregate standings returning for the Championship Round draft, where Zane was crowned winner.
After the invitationals Zane will get a chance to compete in the Origin series, then the PBR Grand Finals in November.
In Australia, Professional Bull Riders Australia (PBRA) stages more than 20 events per year, for over 75,000 fans.
After the Beaudesert Monster Energy Invitational tour, the Australian Touring Pro will begin down to Gregory Hills, New South Wales on March the 21st, followed by Lardner in Victoria on the 28th of March.
Good luck Zane, hang on tight.
