The steam engine at Donald Lions Train Park received a much-needed preparatory wash on the weekend from CFA members of the Donald Fire Brigade.
The train is scheduled for a facelift and required washing prior to being painted by Geoff Blake.
Since none can navigate a hose or stream of water quite as capably as a firefighter, members of the Donald Fire Brigade offered their time and abilities to wash and prepare the big static display prior to it receiving further attention.
One could imagine the huge amount of work required to accomplish such a mammoth task, taking five fire fighters roughly ninety minutes to complete.
Volunteers involved should be commended for their efforts and the Donald community looks forward to seeing the progress of this project.
