Narrandera Show Society committee is in jeopardy as it tries to recruit new members to its ranks.
Until these members are recruited the society will have no option but to close.
For an organisation that has survived since the 1880s it would be a great pity for the town to lose the society and worst of all the Narrandera Show.
There are only five people on the committee which makes it impossible to organize an event the size of the Narrandera Show.
“We will be deciding at this meeting whether the committee continues or closes permanently,” said spokesperson Sandra Weaven, a longstanding member of the society.
It will be a crisis meeting at 7pm in the secretary’s office at the showground.
“If you want the show committee to continue, together with the annual show, then people must turn up to show their support,” Sandra said.
