As we look forward to 2025, Burrumbeet Park & Windermere Racing Club is kicking off the year in spectacular fashion—fresh off winning the prestigious Country Racing Victoria’s Community Club of the Year at the Country Racing Awards. This recognition highlights the club’s unwavering commitment to community, passion for country racing and the tireless efforts of its volunteers and supporters.

The 135th Pacific Fuel Solutions Burrumbeet Cup, taking place on New Year’s Day, promises to be another unforgettable celebration of racing, community and tradition. With the spotlight on local trainers, owners and jockeys, this iconic event is the perfect way to start your year.

A tradition of excellence – Community Club of the Year

The Burrumbeet Park & Windermere Racing Club’s recognition as Racing.com Community Club of the Year at the Country Racing Awards is a testament to the club’s dedication to the community and passion for country racing. The club was nominated alongside other esteemed finalists including Camperdown Turf Club, Casterton Racing Club, Great Western Racing Club, Horsham & District Racing Club, Mortlake Racing Club and St Arnaud Turf Club.

When the announcement was made, there was an outpouring of cheers from the big crowd, as the club’s hard work and commitment to excellence were celebrated. “Winning this award is a proud moment for us,” said Club Manager Jeremy Rogers. “It reflects not only the dedication of our volunteers and the unwavering support of our community but also the incredible passion everyone brings to our race day. The Burrumbeet Cup is a chance for us to showcase everything that makes country racing special.”

The Burrumbeet Cup is a true family event, with something for everyone to enjoy. Beyond the thrilling races, visitors can enjoy a range of activities, including the Lake Eyewear Fashions on the Field, the Laminex Community Bowl, and plenty of opportunities to test your luck with the Punters Club.

For the kids, there’s a fantastic lineup of free entertainment, including Kelly Sports, a Water Slide and Jumping Castle, a Ninja Warrior Course, Face Painting, and even Farm Animals. Plus, the beloved Home Straight Dash is sure to get everyone cheering.

Membership and tickets

Memberships are available for just $60, offering perks such as two entry tickets, two complimentary drinks (beer or wine), a stubby holder, and access to the Membership Enclosure. General Admission tickets are $20, with children under 16 enjoying free entry.
