National Farmers’ Federation (NFF), Media Release, 10 December 2023
Farmers across the globe have united on climate with the newly formed Agriculture Climate Alliance.
The Alliance has released its first statement from COP28 in Dubai today [10 December 2023].
“Farmers around the world are at the front line of climate change. We must be proactive and ambitious in our actions to mitigate GHG emissions from agriculture and adapt to climate change. A failure to act risks exacerbating existing food security issues around the world,” the statement says.
To date, the Alliance includes the National Farmers’ Federation, Federated Farmers New Zealand and Federation of Rural Association of Mercosur (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and Colombia).
