Recent stories

To be more precise, the two young ladies, both nineteen, are from Furstenfeldbruck, within the Munich (now Munchen) area of Germany.

In their Travellers Autobarn camper van, they have motored down Australia’s east coast, arriving at the Donald caravan park in time for the out-of-town Esoteric Festival.

As reported in Wednesday’s “Buloke Times”, the Festival was “ a sellout success”, a description enthusiastically endorsed by Charlotte Beer (left) and her friend, Marie Stangl (whose sister had greatly enjoyed the experience four years previously).

The two young travellers had nothing but praise for the Festival, with its “wonderful decorations, and remarkable variety of attractions, including clothing shops, Yoga classes and poetry readings”.

Their intention is to return to the Top End in April, “through the Out-back, to Darwin”, before flying home.

Footnote: Organisers report that tickets were purchased by Festival-goers in 25 countries, and all Australian States.
