The Mansfield District Racing Club is thrilled to be running an Autumn race day and hopes that the Mansfield community will take advantage of the event.
“Re Do Your Do” is a theme for the day. The Club invites businesses, families and groups who may have had planned events cancelled in Spring/Summer to celebrate with a day out at the picnics.
There are online packages to choose from, including the popular Trackside Marquee and private marquees ideal for birthdays, pre wedding parties, work celebrations and other milestone events.
Mansfield’s well curated track is a drawcard for the racing industry, ensuring quality fields and six exciting races.
The extensive lawns and shady trees are the setting for the general admission Lawn Party, featuring music, food and beverages vendors and children’s activities with an Easter focus.
With admission at just $20 and children (under 17 years) free, the day provides great value for all ages. Gates open at 11.00am and a free shuttlebus to and from the event is available.
MDRC President Mrs Leanne Backwell invites the community to take advantage of an additional and affordable event in 2022.
“It was disappointing to have our 2021 Melbourne Cup Day meeting cancelled at late notice, when there had been great enthusiasm from the Mansfield community and businesses towards the day. Our committee is working to provide another opportunity for Mansfield locals to get together and enjoy all the fun of picnic racing in a beautiful and easily accessed setting.”
