This weekend two teams of soccer players are heading off to Katherine and one from Darwin.

This will be their first trip away for a competition, and shows the progress that has been made from the initial few players that started out.

The uniforms and equipment have been funded under the Sports initiative section of the Barkly Regional Deal, and several of the players were happy to show the Tennant Times just how good they will look on the field over the weekend.

The two dozen players would also like to send out huge thanks to both the Memorial Club and the IGA for their valued sponsorship.
