Sports museum welcomes rugby royalty
The Allora Regional Sports Museum committee played host to rugby union royalty last Saturday with Queensland Red’s fullback Mac Grealy calling to make a presentation to and tour the museum with his family. With fifteen Queensland appearances to his credit so far, the exciting young Reds star considered a player of the future, kindly donated and signed one of his match worn Queensland Reds jerseys.
Keen interest at Pacific Seeds field days
Pacific Seeds popular field days are being held this week at Foundation Farm Allora. Sessions have been packed with interested farmers, suppliers and agronomists finding out the latest research findings, technologies and planting methods.
Milton Park takes home the prize
For many years the Blue Cow Hotel at Allora has sponsored the Supreme Ewe and Ram of the Allora Show. This year the award went to Milton Park Suffolk and White Suffolk Stud from Hendon.

The Allora Show Society is happy with the success of the 2024 Show, which produced strong numbers in many sections. President Shirley Cornhill said the show was well supported from far and wide.
Former Allora butcher wins major award
Justin Wade, who commenced his career at the Allora Butchery, has been awarded the national title of Young Australian Butcher of the Year at the Australian Meat Industries National competition held in Brisbane on Saturday.

As at close of business Sunday 25th February we will cease the selling and delivery of newspapers. Allora Hardware will be selling papers in store from Monday 26th February.
Wattles hatch new hooker
Glyn Rees. Thomas Hatch is the latest addition to the Travis Burns coached Stillwater Pastoral Company Wattles Warriors top grade outfit, and according to the experienced mentor the 21-year-old hooker has hit the ground running.
Wattles juniors sign on for 2024
Glyn Rees. Club President Aaron Gilmore is enthusiastic about the season ahead, after such a successful 2023 season that reaped three grand final appearances in the international grades, including an undefeated Under 13 team premiership success.
