Wind farm proposed for Allora region
A number of landowners on the Eastern side of Allora have been approached by Wind Prospect Pty Ltd to discuss plans for turbines in or near their property. The Victorian-based wind-power company is believed to be planning construction of up to 60 wind turbines and more than 30km of high-voltage power lines and towers in the Allora area.

Sports museum welcomes rugby royalty
The Allora Regional Sports Museum committee played host to rugby union royalty last Saturday with Queensland Red’s fullback Mac Grealy calling to make a presentation to and tour the museum with his family. With fifteen Queensland appearances to his credit so far, the exciting young Reds star considered a player of the future, kindly donated and signed one of his match worn Queensland Reds jerseys.

Milton Park takes home the prize
For many years the Blue Cow Hotel at Allora has sponsored the Supreme Ewe and Ram of the Allora Show. This year the award went to Milton Park Suffolk and White Suffolk Stud from Hendon.

The Allora Show Society is happy with the success of the 2024 Show, which produced strong numbers in many sections. President Shirley Cornhill said the show was well supported from far and wide.
