Yorke Peninsula will come alive from August 15 to 24 when the GROUNDED YP Art Festival returns with more than 30 workshops, performances, events and exhibitions across the region.
The 10-day celebration will transform towns into stages, galleries and creative spaces, featuring interactive light installations, live music, hands-on workshops and large-scale coastal performances.
Country Arts SA and Yorke Peninsula Council arts and cultural facilitator Molly Flanagan-Sjoberg said the festival had become one of the region’s most anticipated events.
“GROUNDED is all about celebrating the diversity of creativity on YP while also creating opportunities for visitors and locals to come together, learn, and be inspired,” she said.
“The festival enriches our arts and culture scene, supports local businesses, strengthens community pride and welcomes visitors to experience the beauty and hospitality of our region.”
The festival will include major art exhibitions, with the Fine Art Exhibition at Maitland Town Hall and the Sculpture and Photography Exhibitions at Edithburgh Institute. Exhibitions will be open daily throughout the festival.

Supported by local progress associations and the Yorke Peninsula Arts and Cultural Working Group, GROUNDED builds on the foundations of the former YP Art Exhibition, adding an expanded program of performances, workshops and music.
“We are committed to making YP a must-visit destination — not just for our stunning beaches and landscapes, but for our vibrant cultural experiences,” Ms Flanagan-Sjoberg said.
