The 2025 Naracoorte Open was held on July 19-20, with 34 players from all over SA and Victoria competing across five divisions.
Spectators were treated to some great quality squash over the weekend, with 68 matches played, including several close finals.
Michelle Coomans and Tim Davey played a massive five game final with the second game going a long 18-16 to Tim, and he eventually went on to win the fifth game in another close 12-10 score in a great match.
Hamish McLachlan and Aiden Lomas played a great finals match. Aiden won games one and two, before Hamish played some good shots to win the next two games, and set up a fifth game. Hamish got a good start before Aiden settled to eventually win the game with a close 11-9 score to win the match.
Mel Dickenson played Woody Conboy in another big match, going 3-2 Mel’s way with another close 11-9 score in the fifth game.
Tam Duong defeated local Rick Adams in five long games, all games being close with Tam winning the last 11-7 to secure the win.
Jack Johnson won the fifth game 11-9 to secure a win against Ian Brunning.
Andrew Ham finished strongly to win 3-2 against Tim Hopper in a long match, and Rick Adams put in a great effort against Cherrie Surman to just lose in a long five games.
