It is the136th Annual ‘Great Northern Show’ for Rochester on the 23rd to 24th February.
Gates open 5pm Friday Night and 9am Saturday. Gate entry is FREE thanks to generous sponsorship from local and far away businesses who support our show. We in turn want to support our town and the businesses in our town as well.
Friday night activities:
Show and Shine for Cars Bikes and Utes.
People’s Choice award Screaming Diamonds are back with an air show Home craft shed with displays from 5pm Dunk tank and kids games on the oval (bungee cord pull, coca cola sculling competition, weetbix eating, gumboot throw and many others) Market stalls, large variety of food trucks, licensed bar and side show alley.
Heifer Spectacular (Beef Heifer show) Fireworks on the oval (colouring competition where the winner gets to start the fireworks)
Saturday activites:
Horse show, dog show, poultry, goats (including Boers this year as well as dairy) and dairy and beef cattle shows
Homecraft displays are back as well as some competitions in photography and lego, some cooking, art and craft this year. Kids and adults can compete.
Kids area will be open 10am-2pm on Saturday with a construction theme and some free activities such as ball pit, Bendigo Bricks Lego displays, mobile farm, reptiles displays, face painting, CFA displays, sensory play, Royal Flying Doctor Simulator.
Art and craft for the kids as well as a chill out zone with umbrellas and strawbales to watch the kids have fun.
Working dog displays to watch and camel rides are also free.
Side Show Alley with two showbag trucks will be in full swing until mid afternoon.
