Organiser Emma Perrier said the Saturday, June 19 event will be the Breast Comp Ever and will raise funds for the local Breast Care Nurse Service in Lismore.

The service is in need of a lymphedema machine ($8000) as well as care packages (Big Hug Box Charity) for those who need them.

There will be surfing divisions from junior girls to over-50s with two former world champions – Pauline Menczer (World Short Boarding Champion and Girls Can’t Surf actor) and Rachael Tilley (World’s Youngest Longboarding Surf Champion in 2015) as well as three other former professional surf-ers who have toured the world.

Breast cancer is a disease that has touched our club too many times, Emma said.

“It will affect 1 in 7 women, that is three women in our current club membership base,” Emma said.

“That is mind-blowing to me.

“If we can change the life of one person who is going through it, then I will be stoked.”
