Police driving home road user awareness
The Queensland Police Service is reminding road users of their shared responsibility in helping to reduce the number of lives lost on local roads as part of this year's Queensland Road Safety Week. This year has been one of the worst in living memory for the local area, with crashes at Greenmount, Cambooya, Vale View and Wyreema tragically claiming lives.
Xavier’s dream Futsal tour of China
Harristown State High School student Xavier Robertson has just returned from a successful tour to China where he represented Australia in an under 13 Years Futsal Team against other Asian teams. Xavier, a former Bunker's Hill student, joined the Australian Futsal Association (AFA) team for its international tour to China, which played in two separate tournaments and after eight games remained undefeated.

Equine virus detected in Toowoomba region
The highly contagious viral disease equine herpesvirus type 1 (EHV-1) has been detected in up to three horses with abortions on a single property in the Toowoomba region. In Australia, EHV-1 commonly causes mild respiratory disease, occasionally causes abortion and very rarely, neurological signs.
