Magpies’ long-awaited return to Barkly communities

Collingwood Football Club (CFC) players returned to Tennant Creek this week as part of its Community Camp, the first since the Covid-19 pandemic. After the footy team worked up a sweat working out at the Barkly Regional Council’s Fitness and Wellness Centre on Tuesday, they headed to Purkiss Reserve to meet local children and Collingwood fans at a free Community BBQ hosted by AFL Barkly.

Power and Water has released its proposed investment plan to deliver essential power services to Territorians on the Tennant Creek, Alice Springs and Darwin-Katherine electricity networks for the 2024 – 29 period. After significant customer and stakeholder engagement, Power and Water has submitted the plan, the Regulatory Proposal, to the Australian Energy Regulator (AER), who will undertake a review of the proposed expenditure and revenue.

Youth steal from another vulnerable resident

Emily uses a gopher and was heading home from the Memo Club about 10.30pm last week when the shit-bag trio set upon her, trying to grab her bag off her shoulder, almost choking her in the process and pulling her from the vehicle.

Wanting to protect his beloved companion, Greg raced outside to confront three teenagers, who all appeared to be girls. They started throwing chairs, rocks and concrete pieces at him, before roughly tipping him out of his wheelchair.
