Plans for Allora’s two museums
A proposed development application was submitted to the Southern Downs Regional Council late last year by the Allora & District Historical Society, for the relocation of two buildings on the original museum site on Drayton Street to the site of the old Shire Hall on Warwick Street Allora.
Congratulations to Southern Cross Care Allora
Following a recent audit conducted by the State Government into Aged Care food ratings, Southern Cross Care in Allora was awarded Second place in Queensland. This is no mean feat when 570 Homes across Queensland were judged by the residents and their families.

Bunya Pines are impressive but dangerous
Allora has two massive Bunya Pines ... In the bad storm last week branches were ripped from the Pines with sharply pointed leaves falling to the ground covering the lawn and gutters of the nearby home. If a child or even adult was under the Pines when a cone dropped on their head there could be serious consequences. Is it time these Bunya Pines were permanently removed?
Supreme Stud Beef at Show
NIOA Santa Gertrudis Stud at Talgai took home the big prize with Supreme Stud Beef Exhibit of the Allora Show. Leading the bull was Sam Falls from Warwick. Blue Ribbons were also awarded to NIOA for Supreme Bull and Supreme Female.
First angiogram procedure at Toowoomba Hospital
Allora man Ken was all smiles after being the first patient to receive a diagnostic angiogram at the Toowoomba Hospital earlier this month ... A coronary angiogram uses x-ray imaging and contrast dye to diagnose heart artery blockages.
