Allora Men’s Shed hosted a successful morning tea last Thursday to raise money for the Cancer Council Queensland. A huge crowd turned out to enjoy the social outing while helping a worthy cause.

Ben Ogden Senior Constable 17702 Allora Police Station ... a motorist drove into Allora township at night time and did large burnouts on Warwick Street in between the IGA supermarket and the Railway Hotel in his Holden Commodore Utility before driving off. With the assistance of members of the community and the CCTV from local businesses Allora Police identified the culprit and the vehicle, with search warrants being executed at an address in Warwick.

On Sunday, prior to teeing off for the Ty Gardner Concreting Monthly Medal, the Allora Sports Club Secretary, John Ellwood, paid tribute to club member Ray O’Leary. John spoke of Ray’s love of golf, and his commitment, together with Doreen, to keeping the greens in top condition. Ray shouted everyone a drink and a minutes' silence was held.
Allora to have its first roundabout
Construction at Allora’s first roundabout at the intersection of Forde and Warwick streets is scheduled for the 2025-26 financial year. The installation of the new roundabout was announced by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in September 2022.

Success for sunny lawn Brafords at Rocky Beef Week
Well known cattle producer Neil Pacholke from Spring Creek came home with a heap of awards from Beef Australia held last week in Rockhampton. Sunny Lawn Brafords were awarded Reserve calf champion heifer, Junior champion bull, Senior champion cow, Grand champion cow, Exhibitors Group and Sire progeny group.
