Snowy locks in long term contracts

Snowy Hydro continues to strengthen its critical role underpinning reliability while enabling Australia's renewable energy transition with the signing of major energy contracts with Aula Energy and TagEnergy, securing new capacity in wind generation and grid-scale battery storage. The long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Aula Energy will see Snowy Hydro procure 120MW of renewable energy from the Carmody's Hill Wind Farm in South Australia.

Local show kicks more goals

After being in danger of folding several years ago, the Corryong Show underwent a revamp and a change of date which has revitalised the community event, culminating in it being named the Corryong Event of the Year at this year's Australia Day ceremony.

Little school is doing big things

Walwa Primary School may be small in size but last Friday it proved once again that it continues to 'punch above its weight'. Hosting the F–2 Cluster Day, Walwa PS proudly showcased the hard work, learning and progress its students have made across the year - much of it centred around their impressive Food and Fibre program.

Young people get behind ‘fire ready’ drive

Almost 500 Victorians have put their hands up to join CFA between 3 and 29 October on the back of the Get Fire Ready initiative. The figure represents an 11 per cent increase on new applicants during the same period last year. ...
