Narrandera's treetop residents will take centre stage at the inaugural Koala Festival at the Narrandera Showground on Saturday ... It is being held to promote Narrandera’s free-ranging koala colony ... the colony is Narrandera’s tourism trump card and one of the shire’s greatest natural assets.
Documenting history in Afghanistan
David Lee. There aren’t many people who can say they have stared into the face of danger in order to show the world a story that needs to be told, but Narrandera resident and cinematographer Jordan Bryon has done just that; and one of those ventures has led him to work on a feature film for the New York Times (NYT). For almost six years, Jordan has been living in Afghanistan and more recently working alongside colleague, Farzad Fetrat on the feature film.
Roller skating returns to Narrandera

A once popular pastime that possessed a great deal of culture and funk has once again rolled its way into the hearts of the Narrandera community, with local resident Briana Bryon kickstarting Glow Roller Disco. Beginning the business less than two months ago, Briana was not surprised by how popular her venture has become in such a short period, which offers one-on-one basic coaching, birthday parties and school holiday sessions.
Yanco Ag High School proud to celebrate centenary
Yanco Agricultural High School celebrated its centenary and family day at the college grounds last weekend ... Narrandera High celebrates return of NAIDOC Day activities
Narrandera High School finally celebrated NAIDOC Day, its first in three years, with the Welcome to Country and Didgeridoo welcome setting the scene for a day of inclusivity and education. The highlight of the day was the final event - the commissioning of the Stewart James mural.

Roll-up, roll-up and get ready to experience the razzle and dazzle of this year’s Narrandera Show. Celebrating its 140th year, there will a be spectacle of showtime amusement for the entire family to enjoy. Running on Saturday, September 3, the show is Narrandera’s longest running annual event, attracting thousands of people each year and this year will be welcomed back in spectacular style after having been put on hold due to Covid-19.
