Caddens artist Shannon Boyd has completed a striking mural of former Narrandera boxer Trevor Christian OAM for the Sydney Region Aboriginal Corp (SRAC). Trevor Christian OAM, Wiradjuri Warrior/Elder, was a Narrandera-born man who passed away December 13, 2011.

Jordan Bryon has won a British Academy Film Award for the documentary ‘Children of The Taliban’. The documentary follows the lives of four children growing up in Kabul under Taliban rule and was recognised for the unique story telling as well as for its cinematography.

Rare photo find returned to Durnan family
The patriarch of one of Riverina’s best-known families has been given a photograph of his mother he did not even know existed taken 120 years ago after the precious portrait nearly ended up in a Central Coast rubbish tip. Former Narrandera resident Don Durnan, 92, was overjoyed when the beautiful old image, called a carte de visit, was handed to him by Federal Member for Riverina, Michael McCormack.
