“Birds in Focus” opens at Charlton Courthouse Gallery

The Charlton Courthouse Gallery was abuzz with visitors on Sunday, October 5, for the opening of Birds in Focus, the latest exhibition by local farmer and keen photographer, Stuart Giles ... When asked if there was one bird he found especially elusive, Stuart pointed to the Red-capped Robin.

Johanna to feature on global stage

Kate Fowles. Former Donald resident Johanna Clark’s bucket list is about to become shorter, as she tackles two world title events within three weeks. The Torquay triathlete will compete in the Surf Coast Shire Council-supported UCI Gran Fondo World Cycling Championships in Lorne from October 16 to 19. She will then fly to Spain for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in November.

Mancel’s incredible record recognised

On September 9, Mancel Gray Giddings, OAM, was presented with his Order of Australia Medal at a ceremony at Government House, officiated by Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria. It was a truly special occasion, and Mancel was delighted to once again put his beloved Wycheproof on the map!
