Maldon Auskick Centre was lucky enough to have Maddy Pieper, AFL Central Vic Auskick Champion, run a session with the group last week.

The kids, though always well behaved, were extra attentive to Maddy. Maddy ran through a range of activities that are showcased on the Auskick website.

A highlight was Maddy umpiring the game at the end of the session, ensuring all kids got a kick.

At the conclusion of the session, we asked everyone’s favourite part of the night, and most kids said, ‘the game!’.

Maddy has been out on the road visiting 33 Auskick Centres in the region. Her role as an Auskick Champion includes: providing ideas on setup, activities, grouping of participants, parent helper engagement, introductions and wrap-ups and having discussions regarding any challenges the coordinator may be facing.

The Maldon Auskick Centre operates Tuesdays at 3.45pm; all kids are welcome to come and learn more about the game while having fun with friends.
