The Flying Fruit Fly circus
Last Wednesday afternoon, local schools and community were treated to the incredible skills of the Flying Fruit Fly circus, which is Australia's National Youth circus. This visiting troupe was made up of children between the ages of 10 - 16 years. (and accompanying adults).
Proten Community Cup 2025
The 2nd semifinals saw both Ivanhoe Hens and Ivanhoe Roosters head off into the Grand final to play against Barellan. The Grand Final was played last weekend in Hillston. Judging by the photos, all players played hard.
The headstones of Steven Harris
Wandering around the Wilcannia cemetery, you would have seen the unique mosaic headstones. Colourful and creative, they give special tribute to our loved ones who have passed away. It takes care and time to make each headstone, and the work continues on with Uncle Steven (Stevie) Harris.

William Murray. On Aboriginal week, on Aboriginal march, Colin King used to drive the roller behind the marchers ... He used to get a lend of it off the DMR and bring it in to drive it behind all the marches. A big 80TC roller, 20 tyred roller it was. He'd be blowin' the horn while he drivin' behind the kids while they were marchin', everyone.
Baakantji woman honoured in Victoria
Aunty Iris Bysouth nee DUTTON, recognised on the Victorian Aboriginal Honour roll ... Aunty Iris is a survivor of the Stolen Generations ... Aunty Iris has been recognised for dedicating her life to supporting Aboriginal people to reconnect with their identity, Culture and families.
